Who we are

Margaret Flesher, principal

Experienced, professional, collaborative

Margaret Flesher is a persuasive communicator, skilled in delivering messages that win business and distinguish organizations with stakeholders. A goals-driven strategist, versatile writer, and effective group leader, with experience in corporate and nonprofit settings, she is committed to working collaboratively with clients to promote their success.

During a 15-year career with Deloitte, Margaret provided strategic communications support to audit partners and teams in the firm’s largest pursuits for new business, including proposals to well-known Fortune 500 companies. Internally, she provided national strategic leadership and direction for the firm’s professionals who support pursuits and proposals for audit and advisory services. She also assisted with executive communications, including writing speeches for senior partners.

Before joining Deloitte, Margaret worked in Texaco’s public relations department, gaining broad experience in media relations, community relations, and corporate communications. She wrote the operations section of the company’s annual report, its first two reports on environment, health, and safety, and articles for Texaco’s magazines for employees and product wholesalers.

Margaret’s natural proclivity for clear writing was supported by her early experience as an editor at Harcourt, which laid a strong foundation for the editing skills that form a thread throughout her career.

With a special interest in helping others tell their stories, Margaret has launched Your Life, Your Stories, a program that brings together people in all stages of life to write on selected themes and share their stories in small group settings. This work capitalizes on her background in communications and group facilitation and on her experience with life and career transitions.

Margaret graduated from Vassar College with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She is a certified instructor in the Guided Autobiography method, developed by the late James E. Birren, Ph.D, at the University of Southern California. A West Texas native, transplanted in New England, she lives in Guilford, Connecticut, where she serves as president of the Long Hill Farms Association.
